Special Consultant Guidelines

Classification is the process of organzing and grouping together positions on the basis of similar duties and responsibilities.   Classifications structures for CSUMB employees are set by the Chancellor's office. For more information refer to the following: CSU's Classification Standards

The classification of a position is reviewed when a new position is created or when significant change has occurred to a position due to reorganization or reassignment of duties.  An updated Job Description and a Request for Position Review are required to get the process started.
